Seventh Annual Urban Child Symposium - Violence and the Urban Child: What Can We Do?

When:
Location:
John and Frances Angelos Law Center
Room:
Moot Court
Description:

Please save the date for the University of Baltimore School of Law Sayra and Neil Meyerhoff Center for Families, Children and the Courts’ Seventh Annual Urban Child Symposium, which will address the implications of violence on urban children and its effects on individuals, families and communities.

Research indicates that adults who were traumatized as children are more likely to
commit crimes. Seeking to avoid this pattern, panelists will discuss how the legal community and others can intervene so that children are no longer engaged in or victimized by violence. Panelists and audience members will suggest programs and approaches that can effectively minimize children’s exposure to and commission of violence.
