Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale University, will present a lecture based on his new book, The Law of the Land: A Grand Tour of Our Constitutional Republic. The lecture begins at noon, and a reception and book signing will follow at 1:15 p.m.

In his book, Amar discusses how geography, federalism and regionalism have influenced some of the biggest questions in American constitutional law. Amar teaches constitutional law at both Yale College and Yale Law School and has been favorably cited by Supreme Court justices in approximately 30 cases. He testifies regularly before Congress at the invitation of both Republicans and Democrats.

Copies of The Law of the Land: A Grand Tour of Our Constitutional Republic will be available for purchase and signing after the lecture.
