Carol Peirce Memorial Poetry and Performance Series

When:
Location:
Liberal Arts and Policy Building
Room:

Description:

The Baltimore Poetry Library at the University of Baltimore is happy to announce the inauguration of the Carol Peirce Memorial Poetry and Performance Series.

On April 15, we will host an incredible night of readings by five women who have, in one way or another, challenged the traditional constraints and subjects of lyric poetry.

The evening will open with a casual tour of The Baltimore Poetry Library at 7 p.m., followed by readings from K. Lorraine Graham (Washington, D.C.), Jane Lewty (Baltimore), Nicole Steinberg (Philadelphia), Marci Nelligan (Lancaster, PA), and UB alumnusTracy Dimond (Baltimore). We'll have a short break inbetween for local brews and snacks, as well. And if the mood calls for it, we'll head up to The Brewer's Art so you can meet the poets and buy them a drink.

**The first 25 attendees will receive a unique, handmade, handprinted chapbook featuring the work of all five poets.

This is a free event, but we will ask for donations to support the library. The poets will have books for sale, so please bring your wallets.

Thank you for supporting good literature in our fine City of Charm!
