Plan to attend only one session.  This program is intended to offer you an overview of the available options for next summer, including the LCDO’s 1L Experience in Legal Organizations (EXPLOR) Program through which we place interested 1D/2Es with legal employers throughout the state in part-time (2 days a week) volunteer legal internships.  Additional summer options include: 1) full-time public interest internships, either on a volunteer basis or funded by fellowships, including the UBSPI fellowship, 2) 1L Summer Associate positions with law firms, government agencies, and corporate law departments, 3) 1L Diversity Fellowships, and 4) paid full or part-time law clerk positions at small law firms and other legal organizations.  The LCDO will provide you an overview of the opportunities, along with the logistical details regarding the application process, and then you will hear from 2Ls students about their summer experiences.
