How to Succeed as a Summer Associate/Summer Law Clerk: Advice from Alumni on How to Turn Your Summer Job into a Post-Graduate Associate Position
Tuesday, April 2, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., 12th Floor Reading Room
A summer associate or summer law clerk position provides an opportunity to create an employment relationship that leads to a post-graduate attorney position. Whether you will be at a large law firm with a formal summer associate program or a small to midsized firm that hires summer law clerks, you should treat your summer like an 8 to 10-week long interview for an entry-level attorney position. Get insider advice on how to ensure that your work product meets expectations, as well as tips on how to develop a professional reputation and strong working relationships during the summer.
(1D/2Es planning on participating in the 2019 on-campus interviewing program are strongly encouraged to attend as part of your OCI preparation!)
