Description:

On April 19, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, you are invited to attend the virtual conference Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Math Education: Aligning Pedagogy, Purposeful Technology, and Applications. This free conference will explore opportunities to improve diversity, equity and inclusion among faculty and students in math and math-adjacent education. Hear from national experts on how we might better align pedagogy, technology, and applications to boost students’ quantitative skills and redress disparities in opportunities and outcomes associated with math and math-adjacent education.

The conference will feature keynote speaker Edray Goins, Professor of Mathematics at Pomona College, and sessions presented by Roni Ellington, Associate Professor of Mathematics Education, Morgan State University; Seema Iyer, Associate Director, Jacob France Institute and Research Associate Professor, the University of Baltimore; and Dale Johnson, Director, University Design Institute, University of Arizona, Tempe Campus.
