The #IWillListen campaign was founded in 2013 by NAMI New York City and used at college campuses, as well as in workplaces and communities. Largely a social media initiative, #IWillListen encourages and facilitates an open and inviting discussion about mental health. The campaign uses campus outreach through in-person contact, social media, and student group partners to implement a series of events that encourage people to talk about and listen to issues surrounding mental health. Since its’ inception, this campaign has been implemented at various universities, workplaces, and communities across the nation.
The University of Baltimore (UB) Counseling Center with support from valued campus partners have joined with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to implement #IWillListen campaign at UB. We invite you to support the campaign to reduce stigma associated with talking about mental health by participating in scheduled events throughout the week of October 2-5, 2017.
