University of Baltimore School of Law to Host Mid-Atlantic People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference Jan. 30-31

The University of Baltimore School of Law will host the annual Mid-Atlantic People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference on Friday and Saturday, January 30 and 31, in the School of Law. Leading legal scholars from institutions such as Dickenson University, Temple University, the University of Louisville, American University, and a number of others, will gather to discuss a wide range of topics, including bioethics, family law, the teaching of business law, access to legal services, and the state of the reparations movement. Howard University School of Law Dean and former Baltimore mayor Kurt Schmoke will serve as keynote speaker. University of Baltimore School of Law Dean Gilbert Holmes and Dorothy Brown, Washington and Lee University School of Law professor and program chair, will open the event and provide remarks.
The Mid-Atlantic People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference is an annual event held to encourage people of color to take a leadership role in the legal community and share research ideas.
