Two UB Faculty Members Serve on Presidential Transition Team

Two faculty members from the University of Baltimore—John J. Callahan, executive in residence and director of the programs in Health Systems Management in the School of Public Affairs, and Lenneal Henderson, distinguished professor in the School of Public Affairs, senior research associate in the University's Schaefer Center for Public Policy, and senior fellow in UB's Hoffberger Center for Professional Ethics—have been appointed to the transition team of President-elect Barack Obama.
Callahan is serving on the team that is preparing the federal Health and Human Services agency for the new administration. Henderson is working on the newly elected president’s Economics and Finance team which is preparing on the National Infrastructure Investment Bank. Obama takes office on Jan. 20, 2009.
Both Callahan and Henderson are National Academy of Public Administration fellows. The School of Public Affairs at UB has four NAPA fellows: Callahan, Henderson, Prof. Louis Gawthrop and Prof. C. Alan Lyles.
