Students from 12 Maryland high schools will take part in the fourth annual Maryland Invitational Moot Court Competition, to be held Saturday, Nov. 8 in the University of Baltimore's John and Frances Angelos Law Center, 1420 N. Charles St.
Eight of the 12 slots were filled by the first team to apply from each of the state's eight judicial circuits. The remaining four slots were filled by teams that applied on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The high school teams will participate in a full-day competition. Starting the day, each team will compete in two non-elimination rounds. After that, eight teams will compete in the quarterfinal round, four will take part in the semifinal round, and two will face off in the final round.

Watts from the Maryland Court of Appeals, as well as retired Judge James R. Eyler and Judge Timothy E. Meredith from the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. University of Baltimore School of Law students will assist the judges.
