Real Estate Program's Advisory Board Appoints Two New Members

Two new members have been named to the Real Estate and Economic Development Advisory Board, part of the Real Estate and Economic Development program in the University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business.
Adam Baker, J.D., '05, at attorney at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, is a specialist in zoning, land use, real estate and green building.
"The University of Baltimore has a long and rich history of community involvement in the city and greater metropolitan area," Baker said. "In the real estate community, specifically, the Real Estate and Economic Development Board, which represents a broad cross-section of the Baltimore real estate industry, performs a critical function in helping to cultivate the next generation of industry leaders. I am humbled to join such an esteemed group and look forward to contributing."
Lacey A. Johansson is a leasing agent with St. John Properties and a specialist in office, flex and warehouse buildings along the BWI corridor.
"I am honored to serve on the REED Advisory Board," Johansson said. "As an active member of the Greater Baltimore real estate community, I hope to increase awareness of the Real Estate and Economic Development program at UB and be actively involved in mentoring its students."
Bob Aydukovic, chair of the board, said, "I am excited to have Lacey and Adam join the REED Advisory Board. Their passion for the industry will certainly help the board in achieving its core goals of enhancing the student experience and building stronger business connections. With the board's dedication and tireless commitment, the REED Program and the Merrick School of Business will continue its long tradition of educating the future leaders of Maryland’s of real estate and built environment industries."
The REED Advisory Board is composed of industry professionals who lead classroom talks for students, provide internships, and establish mentorship opportunities. The group, which includes some of metropolitan Baltimore’s best known real estate professionals, also creates networking opportunities and industry visibility for the program and its students. Some Advisory Board members also teach specialized courses in the program.
