The University of Baltimore will welcome Artscape to midtown, July 19-21. This year, the University will host street theater performances and a bistro on Gordon Plaza as well as the High Zero's Worlds in Collusion event in the UB Student Center's Wright Theater. Of course, dozens of activities will take place in the blocks surrounding campus.
Parking access and traffic patterns will be adjusted during the set-up for Artscape as well as for the festival itself. Details on traffic modifications are available here. Three UB parking areas—the Mt. Royal Avenue lot, the north end of the Academic Center lot, and the Oliver Street lot—will be devoted to Artscape activities during the following dates and times:
- Mt. Royal Avenue lot: For use exclusively by Artscape, Fire Department and Public Safety personnel, from July 17 at 7 a.m. until July 22 at 5 p.m.
- Academic Center lot: For festival programming only between July 17 at 7 a.m. until July 22 at 5 p.m.
- Oliver Street lot: For festival staging and operations from July 15 at 7 a.m. until July 23 at 5 p.m.
Beginning Friday, July 19 at 3 p.m., the Angelos Law Center, the Academic Center and Bogomolny Library will switch to BeeCard access. The Liberal Arts and Policy and Charles Royal buildings will remain on BeeCard access. Over the weekend, all campus buildings will be closed and unavailable to the public and the UB community (no Bee Card access), with the exception of the Student Center. Campus buildings will reopen on Monday, July 22 at 7 a.m., their usual time.
