Our Students: A Profile

  • Attendance: Most of our students attend full time (9 credits/semester) and most graduate within two years.
  • Home towns: A large percentage come from out of state and a number come from other countries such as Thailand, India and those in Central and South America.
  • Age: The age of students range from approximately 22 (after completing their bachelor's degree) to 35. The median age is approximately 26.
  • Diversity: I/O psychology track students are predominately female (about 80 percent), and about 15 percent are minorities, primarily African American.
  • Experience: Most students come to the program having just completed their bachelor's degrees in psychology, but some come with considerable work experience in a variety of occupations.
