Meet Eubie, the University of Baltimore Bee!
The University's official mascot returned to campus and made his grand debut at the April 22, 2010 Spring Block Party. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends welcomed UB's mascot back with a big entrance, and now they are embracing this loveable character as the very essence of UB spirit. Our students decided that he needed a new nickname, so they voted to call him Eubie (get it?).
Look for Eubie to fly in during special University events, and for his smiling face on UB apparel, mugs, stickers and in plenty of other cool places.
The UB Bee has a long and storied history on our campus. Welcome home, Eubie.
U of B's Singing Bees
The Bees offer a rousing chorus (no doubt the "UB Alma Mater") in the pages of the 1961 Reporter. Learn more about the history of UB's mascot.
Everybody loves Eubie.
Eubie showed up for the Aug. 26, 2010 groundbreaking for the John and Frances Angelos Law Center.
Eubie made his presence known on the cover (front and back) of the spring 2010 edition of the University of Baltimore Magazine.
Stirring up a bit of buzz for the students.
