Internships, teaching placements, and opportunities.
Students are actively involved in the local literary community through internships, for which they receive course credit and in some cases stipends. The program director will work with you to find a fulfilling placement.
Furthermore, our students have access to the Baltimore Poetry Library, a compilation of thousands of volumes of poetry in various formats that constitutes the single largest collection of poetry in the mid-Atlantic region. The library, housed in the Klein Family School of Communications Design, documents and archives the full history of Baltimore’s poetry-related literary communities.
Also, many of our students are working as teachers; we work to place students in many local schools and community colleges.
