The Master of Science in Applied Psychology program prepares students for careers in counseling or industrial and organizational psychology, or for doctoral studies in these fields. The state-of-the-art curriculum provides grounding in psychological theory, research knowledge and skills, ethics, multicultural competencies, and evidence-based practices. Principles drawn from biological, cognitive, and behavioral psychology are learned and applied in seated and hybrid classroom course instruction, independent studies, participation in faculty research, international coursework, theses, and supervised, hands-on experience in practica and internships.
Graduate students outside of Maryland pay in-state tuition.
UB is now offering in-state tuition to graduate students who live in Washington, D.C.; Northern Virginia (Arlington, Loudoun, Fairfax and Prince William, Clark, Culpeper, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford and Warren counties and the city of Fredericksburg. As well as Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park); Pennsylvania (Adams, York, Chester and Lancaster counties); and all Delaware counties.
