Frank Xu is a professor and the director of the M.S. in Cyber Forensics program. His areas of expertise include software security, mining software engineering data, and applied formal methods. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conference proceedings, including prestigious venues such as IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing and IEEE Transactions on Reliability. He was successfully awarded over $1.5M in research grants from NSF, DoE, and General Electric. Before joining UBalt, he was an associate professor of computer science and the director of the cybersecurity program at Bowie State University.
