ASSOCIATIONS
Joining an association and going to their chapter events or meetings is a great way to meet people in the field. You never know who you'll meet, and who's looking for some new talent. They also provide resources once you're in the field.

IACIS - The International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) offers resources and networking to digital forensics professionals. IACIS also offers training and has the Certified Computer Forensic Examiner (CFCE) Certification.

ISACA - Information Systems Audit and Control Association is one of the biggest information security associations globally. Student memberships are available and they have chapters in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. ISACA also offers some of the most respected certifications in the field.
- ISC2 - ISC2 offers well known certifications such as CISSP and CAP. They have local chapters in Arlington, VA, Washington, D.C., and Hanover, MD. Membership benefits are impressive including discounted training, conference tickets and textbook discounts.

These sites provide a wide range of excellent learning programs to supplement courses in the High Tech Crime program.

Cybrary - Cybrary provides a wide variety of free online training programs at all different skill levels. Many of them are geared toward a specific certification and provide a great study program. Programs of interest to High Tech Crime students include Computer and Hacking Forensics, Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, Security+ and many more.
- edX - EdX offers several free cyber security courses online. The videos are led by respected professionals and provide a certificate, for a fee. Training series pertaining to High Tech Crime students include Computer Forensics, Threat Detection and Incident Response.
