For the second year in a row, the University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as offering one of the country's Best Undergraduate Business Programs. Climbing 30 places in its 2012 ranking, the school is at the top of Maryland’s public business schools; only the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park is ranked higher.
The school tied with well over a dozen other business schools from across the country, including Portland State University, the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, Kent State University, St. John’s University, Duquesne University, and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
“We’re delighted that the Merrick School of Business continues to be recognized for our excellent programs,” said Darlene Smith, dean of the school. “For us, it’s not only a matter of institutional pride that we are recognized as a leader among our peers, but that our innovative and student-focused programs are seen nationally as a force to be reckoned with. I believe that this year’s rankings serve not only as a confirmation of our success, but as an inspiration to do more in the coming years.”
