FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call wireless (cell phone) phone numbers. The federal government does not maintain a national wireless (cell) phone registry. Wireless phone users can add their wireless number to the National Do Not Call Registry program through either of the following methods:
    • by telephone – 1.888.382.1222 from the telephone number you wish to register.
    • online at

Registration becomes effective within 31 days of signing up and are active for five years. There is no cutoff date or deadline for registration. Business to business calls (including calls to the University) are not covered under the registry. For more details, visit
