To access your email from a mobile device, please follow the setup instructions listed below for your specific mobile device.

Server Settings

The following settings can be used for tablets and smart phones to connect to UB email if your device is able to connect to Exchange/Activesync accounts:

  •   Email or Account Type: Exchange
  •   Email address: your UB email address
  •   Server: outlook.office365.com 
  •   Username: netID@ubalt.edu 
  •   SSL: on


iPhone Settings

iPhone 1 Go to Settings, scroll down and select Mail
iPhone 2 Tap on Accounts
iPhone 3 Tap on Add Account
iPhone 4 Select Exchange
iPhone 5

Enter the Following:

Email: Your UB email address
Password: Your UB Password
(if this does not appear at first, skip it)
Description: A label for this account 
it can be "UB" or anything you would like to describe it (Ex: Work)

Tap Next

iPhone 6

Enter the Following:

Email: Your UB email address
Server: outlook.office365.com
Domain: (keep blank)
Username: YourUBNetID@ubalt.edu
Password: Your UB Password
Description: A label for this account
it can be "UB" or anything you would like to describe it
(Ex: Work)

iPhone 7

Select what information you would like to get on your iPhone

Mail: Get your emails on your iPhone
Contacts: Makes UB's directory available when typing someones name
Calendars: Let's you add appointments and invite people to meetings
Reminders: Syncs reminders to outlook (most users keep this off)

  You're done! Go to the Mail app and watch your emails come in!


Android Settings

  • E-mailyour UB email address

  • Domain:  leave blank

  • User name: netID@ubalt.edu

  • Passwordyour netID password

  • Server: outlook.office365.com

  • SSL: set to ON

  Note: Some android models may require wireless to be turned off prior to account setup.

* Your username for all Office 365 services is netID@ubalt.edu.
