Apple TVs are available in all classrooms in the Angelos Law Center, many classrooms in the Academic and Business Centers, and a room in the H. Mebane Turner Learning Commons. (Click here for list of AppleTV rooms.) Apple TVs will be added to rooms as equipment is upgrade.
Apple TVs can be used to connect some devices, such as iPads, to the in-room projector thereby allowing you to project your iPad from anywhere in the room.

- Turn on your iPad and enter your passcode.
- Access your Control Panel by sliding one finger up from the bottom of your screen.
- In the middle of the Control Panel, you'll see AirPlay. Touch AirPlay. This displays a list of available AppleTVs by location.
- Tap on the room you would like to connect to and select Mirroring by sliding the switch on the screen to the right. This will duplicate your iPad's screen on the projector.
When you're finished using the AppleTV, please disconnect from it. To disconnect, access your Control Panel again and select iPad from your list of choices.

AirParrot is the application you'll use to connect to the Apple TV. AirParrot is installed on the law faculty Samsung tablets. If you need AirParrot installed, please contact the OTS Call Center before proceeding.
- Double click the AirParrot icon to launch AirParrot. The icon will become available in your system tray.
- Right click the AirParrot icon in your system tray. This will display a list of rooms with Apple TV.
- Select the room from the list. This will connect you to the Apple TV in that room and your computer will be projected to the in-room projector.
- If you also need to send audio, right click the AirParrot icon in the system tray and select Enable Audio.
When you're finished, please disconnect from the AppleTV. To disconnect, click the AirParrot icon in your system tray and click the selected room in the list.

PowerPoint Presenter View with Windows

With a few steps, you can use the Presenter View in PowerPoint for added functionality when using Apple TV. The Presenter View displays the slide show through the projector while you have Power Point menus available from your desktop screen.
- Right click your Windows desktop and select Screen Resolution.
- Select Project to a SecAirParrot and connect to the Apple TV as instructed in the previous section.
- Right click the AirParrot icon in the system tray and select Display 2.
- Open PowerPoint.
- Click the Slide Show menu tab.
- From the Show On menu, select Monitor 2.
- Select Use Presenter View..
- Select Extend.
- Click OK to close the display window.
- Launch AirParrot and connect to the Apple TV as instructed in the previous section.
- Right click the AirParrot icon in the system tray and select Display 2.
- Open PowerPoint.
- Click the Slide Show menu tab.
- From the Show On menu, select Monitor 2.
- Select Use Presenter View.
- Start your slide show.
