Michael Davenport, M.A. ’24, has won his second Telly Award for a video he made while he was serving as an intern in the University's Office of Marketing and Communications last semester. Davenport, a graduate of UBalt's M.A. in Integrated Design program, is now a freelance videographer and photographer. He earned a Silver Telly Award for a video he did for Prof. Jane Delury's Writing Baltimore class.

"Things are going well," Davenport says. "I've totally embraced entrepreneurship and am quickly picking up business knowledge. The business piece is undoubtedly new and can occasionally be difficult, but the artistic part has always come easily."

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards "honor excellence in video and television across all screens," according to the organization's website. It captures entries representing local, regional and cable television commercials, as well as non-broadcast video and television programming.

Previously, Davenport was a co-winner of a Telly Award for his short film, The Busheler of Baltimore.
