At UB, students are introduced early to the experience and work of a discipline.

Sophomore year serves as a bridge from the first year to a student’s major area of study. In 2014 and 2015, all sophomores participated in a common reading and applied core skills in communication, research, information literacy, and team building to real-world issues.

Check out some of the sophomore student projects for UB's Common Read, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks .

Students enrolled under the 2013-2015 general education program should talk to their adviser regarding sophomore requirements.
