Step 2: Apply to The University of Baltimore.
Applying to UBalt is a multi-step process. We are here to help you through each step.
Transfer Student Admission:
- Complete an application for undergraduate admission.
- Pay the $35 application fee.
- Submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
- You may also need to submit CLEP, AP, IB or DSST Scores, a Joint Services Transcript, or proof of industry credential (license, etc.).
- Send official transcripts from all previously attended institutions to documents@ubalt.edu.
Graduate Student Admission:
- Complete an application for graduate admission.
- Pay the $50 application fee.
- Submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
- Submit additional documents as needed by your program. Check your program’s web page for a list of required materials.
- Send official transcripts from all previously attended institutions to documents@ubalt.edu.
International Student Admission:
- In addition to the above, submit your credential evaluation report of all education received at non-U.S. institutions and your official proof of English language proficiency.

Step 3: Get admitted and accept your admission!
Once your application is complete, please allow up to two weeks for an admission decision to be emailed to you. An admission representative may also call you. And, your decision will be posted in your MyUB portal.
Once admitted, you must accept your admission through the MyUB portal. -
Step 4: Enroll in classes.
Once you accept your admission, there are a variety of steps to complete the process of enrolling and preparing to start classes. Please know that UBalt will do everything we can to support you through your academic career.- Schedule an appointment with Francisco Ruiz, academic coordinator at Shady Grove, for academic advising prior to registering for classes. he can be reached at fruiz@ubalt.edu. He will review your prior learning experiences, help you identify courses to take and explain the resources, opportunities and advantages available to you.
- Register for classes via the MyUB portal.
- Remember to apply for Financial Aid; this will make you eligible for loans, grants and scholarships.
- Enrollment will also prompt a bill to be generated. It will include a date to arrange payment, which is called financial clearance . You can pay your bill with financial aid, via third-party billing (tuition remission or military benefits), through our payment plan, or with a credit card.
- Upon enrollment, you will be issued a UBalt email address. Check it often. It's our primary communication tool.
- Attend New Student Orientation at Shady Grove (held in January for spring admission and August for fall admission) to connect with fellow classmates, meet your program director and figure out the best place to get coffee.
- Make arrangements for parking, purchase or rent text books, etc.

Visit campus.
UBalt hosts a variety of admission events, which will answer your questions and give you the chance to apply and receive an admission decision in person.
