The M.F.A. Reading Series brings renowned authors and poets to the UB campus to share words and insight in an intimate setting with Creative Writing & Publishing Arts students. Question-and-answer sessions following each reading allow students to prod the experts for the information that matters most to them.
COMING UP: Authors Larry Doyle and James Magruder offer up A Night of Fiction, Conversation & Trigonometry Homework: Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, 7:30 p.m. in the UB Student Center Bogomolny Room, 21 W. Mt. Royal Ave.
That's what's unique about the School of Communications Design's M.F.A. in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts, so unique, in fact, that Poets & Writers Magazine named it one of nine distinctive M.F.A. programs in the United States.
In addition to an array of writing classes and workshops, you can take courses in book arts, small press publishing and creativity. You'll send your work to established literary journals, and you'll also create your own print and electronic journals and publish broadsides and chapbooks.
