The M.F.A. in Integrated Design, offered by the School of Communications Design, is built on the premise that designers in the 21st century must be fluent in the language and concepts of multiple media—not only print, but also motion/video, hypermedia and Web-based technologies.
Students in the Integrated Design program develop problem-solving skills for conceptualizing design solutions to communications problems; design skills that make those solutions visually attractive and effective; and production skills that allow them to realize those solutions.
The program provides the academic credential most sought after by colleges and universities hiring design faculty.
