Center for Negotiations and Conflict Management

The Center for Negotiations and Conflict Management, housed in the Division of Legal, Ethical and Historical Studies, provides services and education focused on negotiation skills and methods of dealing with conflict.

Established in December 1997, the center responds to a nationwide trend toward using mediation, arbitration and other types of alternative dispute resolution in numerous arenas: the courts, healthcare, employee relations, real estate, insurance, securities, public and private entities, consumer affairs and domestic matters.
