University of Minnesota Obesity Center
The Minnesota Obesity Center is an Obesity Nutrition Research Center (ONRC) funded by the National Institute of Diabetes, and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health. The mission of the Minnesota Obesity Center is to find ways to prevent weight gain and secondarily the onset of obesity and complications of obesity.

National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases
The ONRCs are part of a core center grant program established by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) to advance obesity and nutrition research. The CNRUs are part of the program established by NIDDK and the National Cancer Institute to bring together basic science and clinical investigators in a manner that enriches the effectiveness of nutrition research. Each of the ONRCs and CNRUs has made and continue to make significant advances in the areas of obesity and clinical nutrition.

University of Pittsburgh Obesity/Nutrition Research Center
The University of Pittsburgh Obesity/Nutrition Research Center (ONRC) was established in 1992 with funding from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. The goal of the University of Pittsburgh ONRC is to develop more effective interventions for the prevention and treatment of obesity. The ONRC seeks to bring together expertise from the University community in the areas of behavior, genetics, epidemiology, metabolism, and eating disorders to improve the treatment and prevention of obesity. The ONRC exists to support research functions for investigators studying the broad areas of obesity and nutrition. The University of Pittsburgh ONRC focuses on behavioral aspects of obesity and behavioral treatment of this disease.

Boston Obesity Nutrition Research Center
The Boston Obesity Nutrition Research Center (BONRC) is an inter-institutional unit with an overall goal to understand the etiology of and find effective treatment for obesity and related disorders, and to educate and train investigators in these areas. BONRC provides resources and support for diverse studies in the area of obesity and nutrition and serves to promote interactions among scientists at the participating institutions.
