According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of medical and health services managers is projected to grow 23 percent between 2012 and 2022. This post-baccalaureate certificate is ideal for you if you're interested in qualifying for entry-level management positions in health services organizations, or if you're a clinical health services professional looking to transition into a management position.
At the completion of this 12-credit program, you will be able to:
- apply administrative and management concepts in the health-care environment
- understand the legal and regulatory environment in which the United States health-care system operates and how it affects administrative and management decisions
- identify financial accounting and finance principles and how they drive managerial decision-making in health systems management
- explain how economic theory predicts the supply, demand and consumption of health-care.
