Student Organizations at UB

So much of your time in college is spent outside of the classroom.  The Rosenberg Center for Student Involvement oversees a variety of student organizations which enable you to pursuse your interests, meet new friends at UB, and further your education and career goals.  Leadership roles in student organizations have a direct impact on your professional skills, and can also lead to personal enrichment that will dramatically increase the value of your UB degree.

Can't find a student organization that interests you?  Start your own. Follow the steps below and you can create a legacy on campus - your own student organization!

First, pick up a "Club and Organization Handbook" at Rosenberg CSI or visit us online at www.ubalt.edu/csi. The handbook explains all the policies and procedures for starting and maintaining a club or organization.

Then:

  • Read through the procedures to start a new organization in the Student Organization Handbook.
  • Find a total of six (6) other students who are interested in being part of the club and a faculty or staff advisor.
  • Create a constitution (using the outline in the handbook).
  • Register your organization following the instructions in the handbook.
  • Submit budget requests (see CSI for current deadlines and procedures, and to get a copy of the Finance Board funding guidelines).

Visit us in the Student Center Room 303 for more information, call 410.837.5417 or e-mail csi@ubalt.edu.

Good luck!
