UB Shuttle Bus Service

As an urban university with a commuter population, we know that sometimes getting to class can be stressful. We use NEXTbus technology to help you get around campus more easily.

We provide convenient, free shuttle service that runs in a continuous loop around campus, stopping at each of the designated shuttle stops (see the campus parking map); the estimated average wait time between shuttle buses is 20 minutes (times will vary with traffic and road conditions). The shuttle service is also equipped to provide transportation for disabled community members.

Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
  • Friday, 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • After the shuttle stops running, an escort service is available; call the Department of Public Safety at 410.837.5520. 

Shuttle Stops

Please note: A valid UB ID is required to access the shuttle.

Stops leaving campus:

  1. Academic Center: Mount Royal Avenue and North Charles Street
  2. The Fitzgerald at UB Midtown/UB Light Rail Stop: Oliver Street and Mount Royal Avenue
  3. Symphony Center Garage: Park Avenue and Cathedral Street
  4. Maryland Avenue Garage: Maryland Avenue and Biddle Street
  5. Professional Arts Building: Maryland Avenue and Read Street
  6. Belvedere Garage: North Charles and Chase streets (serves 1030 N. Charles St. building)
  7. Sutton Place: Park Avenue and Howard Street
  8. State Center: street level, near Metro subway entrance adjacent to Eutaw and Preston streets

Stops returning to campus:

  • Professional Arts Building: Maryland Avenue and Read Street
  • Belvedere Garage: North Charles and Chase streets (serves 1030 N. Charles St. building)
  • Symphony Center Garage: Park Avenue and Cathedral Street
  • Maryland Avenue Garage: Maryland Avenue and Biddle Street
  • Liberal Arts and Policy Building: North Charles and Preston streets
  • Academic Center: Mount Royal Avenue and North Charles Street

Coppin Shuttle Bus

The University of Baltimore operates a shuttle bus between Coppin State University and the University of Baltimore to serve students in collaborative programs. The Coppin shuttle operates from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday-Thursday only.

The Coppin shuttle has two pick-up/discharge locations:

  • UB's stop: Mount Royal Avenue at the Morton's Alley shelter
  • Coppin's stop: 2500 W. North Ave. (the driveway at the front entrance to campus) 

The Coppin shuttle departs UB on the hour for Coppin State, and makes all stops on the normal UB route until it reaches the State Center stop. At that point it follows an express route directly to Coppin. The Coppin shuttle does not operate on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Shuttle Notes

  • There will be at least one shuttle in service at all times equipped to assist community members with disabilities. For more information or to make any special arrangements, please contact the parking office at 410.837.6573 or parking@ubalt.edu.
  • To maintain efficient running times, shuttle routes must be strictly observed. Shuttle bus drivers will not be able to accommodate special requests or deviate from the shuttle route. The paramount concern is to maintain the shuttle schedule to serve the largest number of students and employees possible.
