Professor Emerita’s Nonprofit Offers Opportunities for Filipinas
Category: WebExtras
It’s easier to envision the social good that NEW Pathways to Enterprise engenders in the Philippines when you can see photos of the participants. Christine Nielsen, professor emerita of international business and Yale Gordon Chair of Distinguished Teaching Emerita and cofounder of the nonprofit organization, shares these shots from her time working on the islands in the western Pacific Ocean.
But still images sometimes struggle to capture the true spirit of an undertaking. Check out this short documentary about the organization’s work in the Philippines. (producer: Megan Raney Aarons, GRAiNEY Pictures)
You can also read more about Nielsen’s trip to the Philippines in November, less than two weeks following Typhoo Haiyan, in The Baltimore Sun. The coverage includes a video interview with the professor.
