A peek into the University archives, specifically the student yearbooks that were produced from 1928-1975 (with the exception of 1936), reveals some clubs that have come and gone over the years.
1920s: Athletics (including basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football and track) made their debut. all photos courtesy of UB’s Special Collections
1930s: The Women’s League welcomed freshmen with an annual tea party.
1940s: The Flying Club trained students for the U.S. Army Air Corps.
1950s: The Singing Bees began harmonizing on campus.
1960s: The Black Student Union promoted civil-rights awareness.
1970s: The Vietnam Veterans Club included about 50 student veterans.
