I am awesome.
I am a work in progress.
I believe in me.
I have been matriculating at University of Baltimore since 2012. It seems like a long time but I have my reasons. I am a strong believer in soul searching and finding your niche. When I started here, I was in a great head space. I met some awesome people that helped shape my collegiate experience. I moved out, and I got my first apartment with a roommate I met in one of my classes. Although that year was filled with ups and downs mentally, life seemed great. I was focused in my classes, however, I felt like I needed to do some soul searching, so I took a break. At the time, leaving UBalt was the best fit for me because it gave me a push and I found my niche.
Standing out means you are not afraid to be different.
During my break from UBalt, I discovered that I had a passion for making pastries. I decided to go to school for culinary arts to perfect my pastry-making skills, and once completed, I planned to return to UBalt. I was happy to have the opportunity to grow in my craft and continue with my aspirations of becoming an entrepreneur. Coming back to UBalt in 2015 felt like I was reborn again. I was focused and ready to finish what I started. UBalt allowed me to continue on that journey at my own pace. I was working a full-time job as well as part-time gigs. My schedule was quite hectic, but there was always flexibility to make my classes a priority.
I’ve come so far from then to now. So much has happened between 2012 and 2017, and I appreciate the love and support that was extended from UBalt students, faculty, and staff. UBalt is the best college I have attended!
Standing out means you are not afraid to be different. I can only be the best me I aspire to be.
