Public sector management, nonprofit management and governance, leadership, developing and managing teams, critical thinking, decision-making, motivation, negotiation, conflict management, strategic planning, program evaluation, performance measurement, presentation skills, legislative process, intergovernmental relations, emergency management, or community engagement.
The Schaefer Center for Public Policy is looking part-time instructors for our nationally accredited Maryland Certified Public Manager® Program and new executive leadership programs. The Schaefer Center is primarily seeking instructors to teach via Zoom but also have some opportunities for in-person instruction.
Successful candidates will have excellent instructional skills, hold an advanced degree in a relevant field, have experience instructing adult learners, and be proficient with instructing via Zoom or in-person.
The Schaefer Center for Public Policy at the University of Baltimore is the applied research and service division of the College of Public Affairs. The Schaefer Center prepares current public sector managers for the challenges of tomorrow through its professional development programs including the Maryland Certified Public Manager Program; grows future leaders through applied learning experiences including its signature Schaefer Center Fellowship and its NextGen Leaders for Public Service program; and informs decision-makers through its applied research, program evaluation, policy analysis, and opinion research services.
The Maryland Certified Public Manager® Program is a nationally accredited leadership development program offered by the Schaefer Center for Public Policy at The University of Baltimore. Maryland’s leaders now have the opportunity to gain the comprehensive, applied management skills needed to meet the complex demands and challenges of the 21st century.
