The University of Baltimore’s annual security report is prepared to comply with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. The report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by the University of Baltimore, and on public property immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. Campus crime, arrests and referral statistics include those reported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Police, the Baltimore Police Department, and identified campus security authorities. Moreover, a procedure is in place to anonymously capture crime statistics disclosed confidentially to a counselor.
Each year, an e-mail notification is sent to all enrolled students, current faculty and staff. This notification provides the website to access this report. Copies of the report may also be obtained at the Office of Campus Safety and Security in the Learning Commons on the first floor. This same notification is also printed on employment applications, admissions applications, handbooks, and catalogs.
