With access to full-text literary works, primary sources, scholarly articles, reviews, and analysis, users can explore authors and their impact, trace literary trends, and uncover deeper insights—all in ONE PLACE.
Go to the Library website and click on Databases List.

Look for "GALE LITERATURE" under the letter "G."

If you are off campus, you will be required to log in with your UBalt credentials. But you knew that.
PERSON SEARCH is a great place to start when you have the name of an author, whether you already know a little or a lot about them. The search results provide information sectioned by category (bios, criticism, reviews & news, primary sources, etc.). Try a PERSON SEARCH with the name of an author.

EXAMPLE using author Octavia E. Butler:

TOPIC FINDER generates connecting topics and provides users with key overviews of works, literary themes, and movements—connecting them to author biographies, work excerpts, literary criticism, and more. You can use TOPIC FINDER with any subject you are interested in from literary movements to specific works or authors. Try TOPIC FINDER with the author’s name for visual connections between related search terms and topics, and view relevant articles for those topics:

GALE LITERATURE is an amazing resource for required research in numerous class subjects including, but not limited to, writing, English, and psychology.
