No matter how long I've been in this career, I still feel like I learn and grow as I go along.

Dr. Llatetra Brown Esters took a winding road to get to her current role as associate vice president of student services and dean of students at The University of Baltimore. Her mother and grandmother wanted her to the first in their family to earn a college degree, so going to college was never a question, but deciding on a career wasn't as clear. Listen to Llatetra's story about how she found her dream career.

"I had the opportunity to go to law school, but it wasn't the greatest experience and I felt like I needed to recreate my dream. And I was able to do that after going to college and serving as a resident assistant, and it was through that experience that I learned to love higher ed, but didn't know that that would eventually be my career path."
