Winter 2026 Baltimore Law Magazine Showcases the Strength of the UBalt Law Community

Web Description: A banner reading “the Mentoring issue” appears across a blue-to-teal gradient background with subtle geometric accents. Below the banner are two side-by-side images. On the left, a uniformed military officer stands in front of the United States flag and a service flag, displaying medals and insignia. On the right, a woman wearing a pink hard hat and orange safety vest smiles and gives two thumbs up inside a building corridor under construction.

The Winter 2026 issue of Baltimore Law Magazine highlights the people and programs that continue to shape the University of Baltimore School of Law community. This edition centers on mentorship, a tradition that has long defined the UBalt Law experience and continues to guide its mission.

For more than a century, the Law School has prepared graduates not only to think like lawyers, but to lead with purpose and serve their communities with impact. In this issue, you will read about veterans whose military service informs their legal careers, the 25th anniversary of the Center for Families, Children, and the Courts, and innovative paid externships that expand real world legal experience. The magazine also explores the evolving role of in-house counsel and highlights alumni who mentor current students and recent graduates across public service, advocacy, and leadership.

In this issue:

Plus: Faculty Scholarship, New Leadership Appointments, and a Tribute to Professor Jack Lynch.

Together, these stories reflect a community grounded in mentorship, experiential learning, and alumni engagement, strengthening both the legal profession and the communities it serves.
