
University of Baltimore students, faculty, and friends are invited to register for the next edition of Global Game Jam, a participatory, multi-day event in which game designers and gaming enthusiasts gather at the Universities at Shady Grove to create and demonstrate games. All jammers are welcome regardless of their level of experience. The event is free, and registration is required. Details listed below.
Registration for Global Game Jam 2026 is now open. Global Game Jam will begin on Monday, Jan. 26, and continue through Feb. 1.
This year's Global Game Jam will be a hybrid event, with online and in-person events scheduled at at the Universities at Shady Grove campus. An in-person opening event, featuring a gaming industry speaker and refreshments, will be held on the first day. An in-person closing event, with judging and prizes, will take place on the closing day. The Shady Grove campus will be open 24 hours on the weekend for the traditional GGJ experience.
Those who can't attend the whole event are welcome to join in for the various events as theiur schedule permits. During the closing events on Sunday, Feb. 1, participants will get the chance to play the games and watch the contest.
