The UBalt community will celebrate International Women's Day with a special community event on March 5

The University of Baltimore will celebrate International Women's Day with a special presentation,  "Women Thrive: Our Stories Matter," on Thursday, March 5 on the 5th floor of the UBalt Student Center, 21 W. Mt. Royal Ave. Open to the entire UBalt community, the event will begin with a reception at 3:30 p.m., followed by a program starting at 4 p.m. Registration is required; attendance details are listed below. 

 

UBalt School of Law Dean LaVonda N. Reed will moderate an engaging panel of community members sharing powerful stories of resilience across their lived experiences in entrepreneurship, motherhood, advocacy, non-traditional careers, and other cultural journeys. Participants will experience the impact of authentic storytelling. Dr. Jennica Larrison, executive director of the School of Public and International Affairs and an associate professor in the College of Public Affairs, will provide opening remarks about the importance of celebrating International Women's Day locally and globally.
