Types of Aid Available
Students may be eligible for the following types of aid while enrolled in study abroad programs:
- Federal financial aid including: Pell Grant, FSEOG, UBalt Grant, Direct Loans, PLUS Loans
- State Grants and Scholarships are available if the selected study abroad program is sponsored by an in-state institution.
- Alternative Loans
How to Request Aid
University of Baltimore Law and Graduate Students:
Law and Graduate students seeking to study abroad may need additional Unsubsidized loans, Graduate PLUS or Alternative Loan funding to cover expenses for the cost of this program. The class(es) taken abroad must be transferred back and applied toward their program of study at The University of Baltimore.
Please follow the following steps to request financial aid for study abroad:
- Complete the Study Abroad Financial Aid Request form . This form is due three weeks prior to your program start date.
- Schedule a meeting with a financial aid counselor. To schedule a meeting please submit a financial aid inquiry.
Study Abroad Financial Aid Request forms will not be reviewed unless a meeting is scheduled with a financial aid counselor.
University of Baltimore Undergraduate Students:
Undergraduate students seeking to study abroad and apply their financial aid to their study abroad program will need to follow the steps below.
- Complete the Study Abroad Financial Aid Request form . This form is due three weeks prior to your program start date.
