UBalt offers Guaranteed Admission and scholarship opportunities to Dual Enrollment students.
Current High School students who are taking classes both in high school and at a higher education institution (Community College or four-year institution) are usually part of a Dual Enrollment Program. Your involvement in this type of program is a great way to kick start your educational goals and promote your academic strength.
At UBalt, we want to reward you for this achievement by offering you guaranteed admission if you:
- are in a dual enrollment program (UBalt-sponsored or administered by another USM Institution or Maryland Community College)
- have obtained a grade of “C” or better in a General Education mathematics course or a General Education writing course
- have earned a high school diploma or passed the GED within three years of your desired start term at UBalt
- have a 2.75 weighted high school GPA
- have a combined 1000 SAT (with no single score below 400) or a 16 ACT score
- apply before April 1 for the fall semester or Nov 1 for the spring semester
- complete the application process to the University of Baltimore
Students who meet these qualifications will be eligible for merit-based scholarships up to $6,000 per year. Get Pre-Qualified here.
To apply with guaranteed admission, complete the First-time Undergraduate Application for Admission. Make sure to indicate that you are enrolled at both your high school and at a college or university.
Please note: The same standards used in regular admission regarding breadth and depth in academic subjects, minimum standardized test scores, and achievement in coursework apply to students admitted under this policy. Admission may be granted conditionally until items above can be verified.
