Test Optional
The University of Baltimore will be test score optional for first-time undergraduate admission consideration for fall 2023 enrollment. Plan to attend one of our information sessions or connect with an admission counselor for additional information. Apply now for fall 2023.

Transcripts must be sent directly to UBalt from Parchment (or other sources) to be considered official. Transcripts forwarded by prospective students are not considered official and cannot be used to review students for an admission decision. Therefore, please request that all transcripts be sent directly to documents@ubalt.edu.
For your Essay/Personal Statement, we ask that each applicant submit 250-500 words on one of the following:
- the major that interests you and why
- why you believe The University of Baltimore is the school for you
- a significant experience and its impact on you
- another topic of your choice (a graded school paper may be substituted for the writing sample)
Priority Deadlines
- March 1: Maryland state grant application deadline
- Oct. 30: fall review date for spring applications
- Aug. 1: summer/final review date for fall applications
After we receive your application, you will be emailed login information to check your application status online. We notify applicants of admission on a rolling basis—you will receive an admission decision from us as soon as your application file is complete.
We encourage you to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form so you can become eligible for financial aid.
Students with more than 30 college credits should apply as a transfer student.
If you are unable to submit your application online, download the required forms and send your application by mail.
