Mission
The Rosenberg Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion creates a welcome environment for lifelong learning through active participation in events, activities, and student-led organizations. The center also equips students to transition to college life, serve their community, create inclusive spaces, and celebrate their academic journey. -

Accidents and Insurance
University Responsibility
The Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion, the Division for Student Affairs and the University of Baltimore are not responsible for injuries incurred at University-organized activities, programs or events. The center will provide assistance in contacting University of Baltimore Police Department, who will then provide first aid as needed and will solicit transportation to a hospital if necessary.
Participant Responsibility
Participants should know and be able to meet the physical demands of any activity in which they are to engage. Each activity has a certain degree of risk, some more than others. Please note that participants of an event or program may be required to sign a liability waiver prior to participation.
If medical assistance is necessary, the medical expenses beyond those covered by the participant’s insurance are the responsibility of the participant. It is also the responsibility of the participant to report any accident or incidents to the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion within three business days following a program or event.
The Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion strongly recommends all students not covered by health and accident insurance purchase student insurance.

Code of Conduct
Behavior
The Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion has a zero tolerance policy for harassment. Verbal or gestured profanity, provocation, pestering, and fighting are not tolerated in the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion. Any student violating this policy will be subject to University of Baltimore’s disciplinary procedures found here.
Use of False Identification
The use of another person's identification within any University program, event or facility is strictly prohibited. Anyone using another person's identification will be escorted out of the program, event or facility and their University involvement suspended until further notice. Any student using another person's identification will be subject to University of Baltimore’s disciplinary procedures found here .
Personal Conduct
Lewd or disruptive behavior, indecent or obscene conduct on university premises or at university-organized activities is prohibited. Students are expected to exhibit appropriate and respectful interpersonal physical contact at all times. Excessive interpersonal contact or inappropriate public displays of affection (PDA) may result in disciplinary action, subject to the University of Baltimore’s disciplinary procedures found here .
Respect
All members of the University community are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with the goals of the institution and demonstrate respect for self, others, and their property. The University of Baltimore strives to provide students with an environment and opportunities that encourage learning, acceptance, recognition, and appreciation of those who are different from themselves. Actions that do not demonstrate respect for self, others, the law, and Universities policies and procedure may be subject to the University of Baltimore’s disciplinary procedures found here.

Media Use
The use of any equipment with the purpose of taking pictures, recording video, or audio, including the camera feature on electronic devices, is strictly prohibited inside University facilities, events, and programs without prior written approval from the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion.
Branding and Logo Use
Prior to using University logos, trademarks, or seal in any way, you must request and receive written permission from the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion. -
Emergency Closing
If the University of Baltimore is closed due to an emergency or extreme weather, the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion will also be closed. Please dial theUBalt Emergency Notification line at 410.837.4201 for emergency updates or visit the University of Baltimore Police Department website for more information about the university closing policies. For the most up-to-date information, the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion strongly encourages all students to sign-up for the Campus Text Alert System through the MyUB portal .
Closings and Delays
If the University opens late, closes early, or is closed for the day, the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion’s hours of operation and programs will follow the adjusted University schedule.

Accommodations
Appropriate accommodations for individual with disabilities will be provided upon request ten (10) days before the event and 30 days prior to a scheduled travel event. Contact the Office of Disability and Access services at 410.837.4775 or das@ubalt.edu to request accommodations.

Nondiscrimination Statement

The fees associated with enrollment at the University are used to provide co-curricular experiences and facility access to students. Please note that access to university programs and facilities may be limited and incur additional fees for all users, including students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members. Any fee associated with the event, program or facility, including ticket sales, deposits, membership fees, and guest fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Participants should refer to specific events, programs and facilities to determine access and associated fees.

Posting Policy
Student organizations may post flyers on designated bulletin boards across campus without prior approval. Outside individuals and groups are welcome to use public University bulletin boards (i.e. those that aren't designated for administrative, departmental, or specific organization or government use) to advertise their activities as long as their flyers are approved, with approval stamp, by CSEI. Ticket Policy
The Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion operates on student fees. Therefore, when discounted tickets are made available for events, students will receive a deeper discount on the price thanUBalt employees, alumni, or other guests.UBalt employees who are also students may receive the student price by bringing their current semester class schedule with them when purchasing tickets. For some events tickets may be available only to students or may go on sale for students before being made available to others. In these instances,UBalt employees who are also students may purchase tickets by bringing their current semester class schedule with them when making the purchase. The Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion reserves the right to place additional event-specific restrictions on ticket sales in accordance with the above.

Office Operations
Front Desk Attendant
The front desk attendant provides front desk coverage for the office and greets all office visitors. They also conduct all opening and closing procedures along with providing event assistance, including, but not limited to program registration, answering questions, guiding participants to the appropriate location and selling tickets. The Front Desk Attendant is cross-trained to support the UBalt Campus Pantry.
Campus Pantry Assistant
The Campus Pantry assisstant provides support for daily operations of the UBal Campus Pantry, assisting with organizing, stocking, and providing service to participants who access the pantry. The Pantry Assistant is cross-trained to support the CSEI front desk. -
Graduate Assistantships
Graduate Assistant - Student Organization Financials
The Graduate Assistant’s primary responsibility is to assist in the overall management of financials for of at least 80 student organizations, including: the Student Events Board and theUBalt Student Government Association. Assistance provided includes training student leaders regarding financials, troubleshooting financial matters with student leaders, monitoring student organization budgets and expenses, supporting the funding boards and processes, and data-entry related to purchasing and budgeting. Through these functions, the GA is expected to successfully coordinate and execute financial management and administrative support for the Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion.
Graduate Assistant - Student Activities
The Graduate Assistant for Student Activities will support programs that engage students and enhance campus life. The GA will also serve on the Traditions Committee and coordinate events that engage students through annual traditions.
Graduate Assistant - Student Organizations
The Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations will provide direct support to student organizations, including communication, data collection, training, and planning for the Student Involvement Fair. The graduate assistant will help build and maintain a supportive environment to ensure student organization leaders are connected with appropriate resources in a timely manner and will assist organizations with building a robust campus life with a focus on connection and community.
