We know it is important to recognize the hard work and determination of UBalt grads. We have planned a special series of acknowledgments to celebrate UBalt students and their accomplishments.
We will continue to update this page with further information as we know more.

Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement
It's your time to shine. Congratulations!
Graduating from college is a significant milestone. Commencement is a time for graduates, the campus community, as well as family, and guests to celebrate years of commitment and hard work. It is important to note that graduation and commencement involve the work of several offices. Therefore, if you have questions please consider reviewing the Whom to Contact List to help clarify the best office or organization to contact.
As a reminder, only students who complete all degree requirements may participate in the commencement ceremonies. Review the Graduation Applications and Eligibility page for additional information.
What is happening in May to celebrate the classes of 2020 and spring 2021?
The University of Baltimore will host three virtual commencement ceremonies to recognize our graduates from the classes of 2020 and spring 2021. The ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday, May 20, 2021 at noon. Although we are unable to celebrate in-person, your virtual commencement will include speaker remarks and individual slides recognizing each graduate. The slides will be made available for download and can be personalized by each graduate to add a message and/or photo.
How do I participate in commencement?
Eligible graduates will receive an email with information on how to register for the online ceremony with detailed instructions on how to personalize your slide with a message and/or photo. Graduates must log in and complete this slide no later than April 27 at noon. If you did not receive the message or need any assistance with completing your slide please e-mail email@example.com or call 410.837.5417.
Will I still graduate without an in-person commencement ceremony?
A virtual commencement will not delay the conferring of your degree for UBalt graduates. Degrees will be conferred for students who meet graduation requirements. Please see the Office of Records and Registration (firstname.lastname@example.org) for any questions related to receipt of your degree.
How will I be able to view the virtual commencement ceremony?
On the day of the ceremony, the link to view it will be posted on this page. Please share the link with your friends and family to help you celebrate.
How can I purchase my cap and gown?
Regalia is not required for the virtual ceremony. If you wish to order regalia for photos, you can purchase your cap and gown from https://ub.shopoakhalli.com/purchasewizard/Welcome.
Can I appeal to participate in a different ceremony?
All eligible students from 2020 and spring 2021 are invited to participate in the May 2021 virtual ceremony. Students wishing to delay or defer commencement exercises must have an academic reason to do so and must follow the Commencement Appeals Process. Unfortunately, no requests to delay commencement based on a desire to participate in a live ceremony can be considered. Please review the Commencement Appeals form and complete it to be considered for an appeal. The deadline for appeals is April 26.
What if I have other questions?
We are here to make this process as seamless and easy as possible for you. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please don't hesitate to e-mail the Rosenberg Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion at email@example.com or call 410.837.5417.
