Professor Johnson joined the UBalt Law faculty in 2026 after twenty-two years at Mercer University School of Law where she taught Legal Process, Introduction to Legal Research, Advanced Legal Research, Bar Preparation, Introduction to Law and Advanced Writing Groups. At UBalt Law, Professor Johnson teaches Introduction to Lawyering Skills and Rules and Reasoning.
Her scholarly interests include the intersection of legal research, legal analysis and the NextGen Bar Exam, academic success, environmental law, and legislative history. Professor Johnson was the recipient of the 2026 AASE Outstanding Scholar Award and the 2022 Manley F. Brown Distinguished Adjunct Teaching Award which recognizes outstanding adjunct faculty members for their exemplary teaching, legal expertise, and dedication to mentoring law students.
Professor Johnson is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar.
Prior to teaching, Professor Johnson served as an environmental regulatory attorney for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Environmental Protection (formerly DER), Office of Chief Counsel, Bureau of Regulatory Counsel.
