"A model for predicting successful career transitions" (On-Going)
This study seeks to identify and test a model for describing work transitions. Specifically, we expect that personality, career interests, self-efficacy, and other constructs will affect what kinds of outcomes transitioners experience as they go through changes in their jobs and careers. Furthermore, we anticipate that fit between one’s assessed values and career goals, one’s fit between interests and goals, job search activities, job searching intensity, and other variables will illuminate the process of the transitions. Finally, we posit that these input and process variables will predict job outcomes such as probability of future job attainment, satisfaction with job search activities, career satisfaction, and satisfaction with preparatory behaviors for making the transition.
"Career Adaptability: Resources and Challenges" (Writing Results)
This research examines the career adaptability, career strengths, and career difficulties of a diverse group of working adults. Connections between career adaptability and the resources and challenges one has are investigated. This research can contribute to our knowledge about how career adaptability is related to resources possessed by an individual and by the challenges facing an individual.
"The Training, Experience, Roles and Efficacy of Clinical Supervisors" (On-Going)
This research focused on understanding how counseling supervision experience and training relates to supervisors’ roles and self-efficacy. This study expands upon previous research on the training and development of counseling supervisors, and can contribute to our knowledge about how supervisors can be more effective in how they approach training counselors.
