Krystle L. Sanders is an attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, in the National Security Division's Office of Intelligence, where she provides legal and policy guidance to senior leadership and the U.S. intelligence community on matters involving the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and other national security authorities.
Previously, she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Unit, prosecuting complex cases involving gangs, firearms, narcotics, human trafficking, and prison corruption. Prior to her service in the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, she worked as Associate General Counsel for the Board of Veterans’ Appeals at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Krystle began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Melissa Phinn at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
Krystle is a dedicated pro bono attorney with Maryland Volunteer Legal Services and Maryland Legal Aid, where she assists Marylanders seeking criminal record expungements, advancing second chances and equitable access to justice. She is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, admitted to the Maryland Bar, United States Supreme Court Bar, and serves as the current President of the University of Baltimore School of Law Alumni Board.
